Do I need an ice cream machine?
No. All ELLA products can be prepared without an ice cream machine. Simply mix the ingredients, place the mixture in the freezer, and stir it every 30–45 minutes. Repeat this process three times. After about 3–4 hours, you’ll have a creamy gelato. Using an ice cream machine makes the process easier and results in an even smoother texture.
How much ice cream does one pack make?
One paste (250 g) yields approximately 2.5 to 3 liters of finished gelato, depending on the variety – roughly 50 scoops. The Crema Base (300 g), used at 100g per liter of ice cream mix, also produces up to 3 liters, or about 50 scoops. The Bourbon Vanilla Paste is more concentrated, so you need less per batch – one 250g jar can make well over 100 scoops.
How long do the products last?
All ELLA products have a shelf life of 2 years from the date of manufacture. The exact best-before date can be found on each package. Once opened, we recommend storing the paste in a cool place and using it within a few weeks.
How and where do you deliver?
We ship throughout Germany via DHL. Shipping costs €5.90, and orders over €79 qualify for free delivery. Delivery usually takes 3–5 working days after the order is received.
Where do the ingredients come from?
The origin of our ingredients is very important to us. Our hazelnuts come from Piedmont, and our pistachios are sourced from the Mediterranean region and processed in Bronte, Sicily – areas renowned worldwide for their exceptional quality. All products are made in Italy following traditional recipes.
Are the products suitable for people with allergies?
Depending on the variety, our products may contain hazelnuts, pistachios, or milk. Please refer to the product page and packaging for detailed information. As all products are manufactured in the same facility, cross-contamination with milk cannot be completely ruled out. If you have severe allergies, we strongly recommend reviewing the full ingredient list carefully.
Can I return my order?
As these are food products, returns are not possible once the packaging has been opened, for hygiene reasons. For unopened products, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal applies. If you experience any issues with your order, please contact us – we’ll be happy to find a solution together.
