Good ice cream doesn't need a professional kitchen. Just the right ingredients. And five minutes of work.

What you need (for approx. 600ml of finished gelato):

  • 250g cream
  • 250g whole milk (3.5%)
  • Sugar (vanilla ice cream 40g / hazelnut and pistachio ice cream 50g) to taste
  • 50g ELLA Crema Base
  • ELLA ice cream paste of your choice: vanilla 20g / hazelnut 50g / pistachio 50g

Here's how: Put cream, milk, and sugar in a bowl. Add Crema Base and the paste. Mix everything vigorously for 2 minutes. This is the only step that requires some effort.

From here, either the machine or the freezer takes over.

With an ice cream maker: Pour the mixture into the ice cream maker and let it run for approx. 35 minutes. Done.

Without an ice cream maker: Pour the mixture into a metal bowl, add a metal whisk, and place both in the freezer. After 30 minutes, remove and vigorously whip the mixture with the cold whisk. Repeat this process three to four times. Then let the mixture freeze through for four hours.

The finished ice cream tastes different from anything you can buy in the supermarket. Because the raw ingredients are premium.
